The music for this marimba duet has long been a feature in popular culture as the theme to the TV series Alfred Hitchcock Presents, a show my father often referenced in our house growing up. This playful piece by Charles Gounod will be a great addition to a spooky concert. It has been simplified somewhat for marimba by thinning out the texture while retaining the harmonies. Double stops are plentiful, but 4 mallet technique is not necessary. It has been transposed to work with low A marimbas.
